Parents,

Some of you have expressed concerns about the letter you recently received 
concerning gang activity. There is a website available with frequently asked 
questions about gangs.

The first question is: What is a gang? See below for the response. Pay 
attention: A gang does not have to be a large organization.

A street gang is a group or association of three or more persons who may have a 
common identifying sign, symbol or name, and who individually or collectively 
engage in, or have engaged in, criminal activity, or as a juvenile commits an 
act that if committed by an adult would be a criminal act.

available on the web. If you would like to praise or express concerns about 
your local community, please complete the survey. It is confidential. You do 
not have to provide personal information.
