ACE Camps 
Founded in 1989 by OBAP, the Aviation Career Education (ACE) camps have
provided more than 1,400 youth with comprehensive training in various
aviation disciplines. The partnership with Delta includes two one-week
camps with 30 students in each camp. The students are provided lessons
in aviation history, aerodynamics, meteorology, navigation and flight
simulator orientation with FAA qualified flight instructors.

Delta hosts the ACE Camps at Delta World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
The curriculum at the ACE Camps includes presentations by aviation
pioneers, the Tuskegee Airmen and volunteer aviation professionals from
a wide range of industry careers. Students will also take special field
trips and conduct a “Discovery Flight,” where students are able to
observe what it takes to fly a general aviation aircraft with a
certified FAA Flight Instructor.
