MESSAGE FROM ST. ANDREWS MIDDLE SCHOOL: I understand everyone frustration about the lunch forms. I to wish there was a better way of getting this done. But some of the blames lays on us as parents/guardians. I can only speak for myself, but I know that I am not the only one. I saw flyers at the city parks to fill out the lunch form at different sites during the summer. I told myself that I would go and pick one up and send it to school on the first day of school, but I didn't. I forgot and I figured that I can do it when school starts. I pass by the school everyday after work, and I still didn't think to stop by the school, when the staff went back to work, to pick up the form. I forgot again. We had 2 weeks after school started to get it filled out and turned in. I too ignored that. But I can only blame myself. I know that my children has to eat lunch and breakfast, but I still waited until the last minute to do the lunch application. The reason why they probably didn't pass them out the first few days of school, is because some may have already filled out their forms and don't want to waste forms where they are not needed. Maybe we as parents/guardians can do something for next year to make it easier on the working families. If enough parents ask Student Nutrition if they can make the form downloadable to email, it would take a big burden off of some of us. Let's contact Student Nutrition to see what they can do for next year via the internet for lunch forms. Below is the address and number.
