Hi all!
Please mark your calendar for 2pm on Saturday March 4th, when Laura Lee
will once again facilitate some drum fun at Saint Matt's. This is not a
Samba Nova practice but is a chance to work on your instrument technique
and get some stick skill practice in, while playing in a casual setting
with others. There is no cost for this session. Come have some fun!
*"We will be starting with some easy exercises to stretch and warm up to
prevent injury. To keep improvisation from becoming chaotic there will be
some easy rhythm exercises to start with. Once people are used to playing
individually and can keep time with the group, we'll start some jammin'.
It's really not scary, I'll take it slow. You may hear some familiar samba
sounds in our work. People will be encouraged to try different instruments
