[sac-forum] Re: weather

We're still going, and we're still calling it The Sentinel/Schwaar Stargaze.
(Probably will next year, too, unofficially).

One of the things I find about Sentinel is, you can't tell what the weather
will be by 2 or 3 days before you arrive. Same with my place. Even if it's
cloudy early, it tends very much to clear later on, and not too much later on,
either.

We'll be there.

It was never my intention to generate hostility. I was simply pointing out
that Pierre was a fixture at Sentinel and Sentinel is a very fitting _place_
for such an honorary party. Moving it somewhere dulls some of the lustre of
the place, but not the spirit in which the party is given. Although it may
move, the idea is to honor a man that contributed, (infected?), many, many
people in this wonderful hobby of ours. I'm just not sure I'll be able to
attend someplace farther away, as the price of gas soars and such. So, as long
as we feel safe at Sentinel, we'll have our own, quiet, unattended party at
Sentinel for the near future.
