[sac-forum] Re: tonight

I know it is well before my time for a decision about going out to observe tonight, but it is clear, to me, what can be expected. So, the short story is I'm not going telescoping tonight.

The long story is Tom Polakis and Steve Coe made the correct decision, for me anyway.

Certainly I'd like to go out and soak up some photons, but the clouds don't favor enough for my tastes. Hopefully, my staying home will make it clear up forCherry Rd, Dewey and Antennas. May you have pristine skies. Lacking that enjoy the conversations.

Still wanting others to have clear skies,
aj

If I were going out tonight (and I'm not), I would think about western or southwestern Arizona. The CSC transparency map animation shows that the high pressure that parks over Four Corners during the monsoon is gradually being pushed toward the northeast. By 5 a.m., it shows pretty good transparency in Yuma by 5 a.m. A lot of good that does us...
