[sac-forum] Re: sit down ... buckle up ... listen up

Gene, you are doing the right thing by getting regular checkups recommended by
doctors, regardless of how repulsize the preparation has to be. That's how my
colorectal cancer was found. Since it was early enough the operation, believe
it is called sigmoidcolonoscopy, removed all the cancerous tissue. I'm cancer
free, no chemo or radiation of any tppe required, but don't feel like I had
cancer. Just this major surgery leaving 29 staples in my tummy.

Best of luck on your test and yes a positive attitude helps much,
aj

Hey, AJ, not that we will think "any less" of you.... (that is intended as a
joke!)

This is something I am not looking forward to, but am working getting
scheduled right after the first of the year (the colonoscopy check-up)...
Just got my diabetes meds revived, with some new stuff..... so far so good.

I am pleased to hear that the prognosis for you so far is good.
So, like LBJ, I guess you will be showing off your scar..... (??)

I just got "back on the air" after a week, getting this PC "tuned up"...

Actually I spoke somewhat premature about being cancer free. It is a
complicated story, but the preliminary reports are suggestive of being cancer
free. And it won't be until they are all in when a final determination is
made. The labs were sent parts of colon, rectum, a tumor (about which I have
questions to ask), another lesion and lymph nodes.

    Regardless I'm still being optimistic.

My biggest point in the entire message is to have regular medical check
ups. Don't believe me, ask Joe. And see a doctor is something strange happens
to you. Grey hair doesn't count.

    Clear skies,
