Chris, et al,
It is not only OK but it is recommended by the Club, esp. if you in any way
don't feel like driving or feel drowzy or tired. My usual limit rule for
staying rather than driving back is 2 AM and not a minute after. Safety first
and always.

Chris, I'll send you directions to Cherry off-forum.
It's certainly okay to bring a tent. You may not be the only one. If I'm
going to observe most of the night, I usually sleep in the back of my
vehicle for a few hours before driving home. Usually there are two
groups at the star parties: the early crew (who will leave at some time
they all agree on, often around midnight) and the all-nighters (who will
observe until they drop and then sleep until dawn).
See you tomorrow evening.
Dan

Dan,
I plan on going to Cherry II also; however, I'm not sure I have the
exact location down. I do have coords for "Cherry Hill" thanks to
Andrew. Are they one in the same? If not, any information someone
could provide would help me greatly. My mental stability is riding on
this observing session. Well, not really but even my wife says I "need"
to go observing to unwind a little.
One more quick question: Is it kosher to set up a tent for the night at
Cherry II? With moonrise being somewhere around 3-3:00am it would be
nice to just crash on site for a few hours before returning home.
Again, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Chris (new guy from WI)

I hope that somebody besides me will resist the lure of the potluck for
some just-plain-observing at Cherry II. I'm eager to observe M 150 among
the other choice objects on AJ's list.
