SAC could do it the way TAAA does it. They just call it an option and
add a $7.50 fee to the regular membership dues for those interested in
AL. This could be considered a Club Benefit, but does add another burden
onto the Treasurer to administrate plus the annual $10.00 Club payment.
IMO the best way still is just for those interested in AL to become a
Member-at-Large.

doesn't already have. SAC is known worldwide for its observers,
observing awards and lists and its deep sky database. The AL would
add only the Herscell II award, and SAC's board members have had a
discussion about changing that. (It didn't get far, probably my
fault, but there it is.) If SAC joined, who would get the
newsletter, or would we just pass it around?
