I just started listening to podcasts in earnest using the free
Juice podcast receiver. There are quite a few astronomy podcasts
out there. Right now I'm listening to Timothy Ferris on Slacker
Astronomy ( slackerastronomy.org). Previous to the Ferris
interview, the guys were talking about Google and the Large
Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST).
Aren't podcasts great? They make it so that anyone can become the
next Walter Cronkite (or - for the youngsters - Geraldo).
The great thing about using a podcast receiver (or iPod, if you
have one--I don't) is that it keeps track of and downloads all your
favorite podcasts for
you.
iTunes will do this also. It will automatically download any
podcasts that you subscribe to.
