[sac-forum] Re: Tonight's D.o.t.M. star party....

Well Steve Coe, David Fredericksen and Matt Luttinen started Friday night at
Cherry Rd. Dave and Matt left around midnight. Reason we went there was for
two nights of observing and to escape the heat of the desert. Well . . . by
10:30AM Saturday morning the temperature was 95def F and climbing. We packed
up, went to Prescott for lunch. From there we toured AZ between Prescott and
Wickenburg, winding up at Eagle Eye around 6:30pm with a temperature of 90deg
and a nice cool breeze.

Clouds on both night shut us down, but not after getting in a few hours of
observing. I particularly liked the view of Mercury, Venus and Moon. Wasn't
that terrific.

Better clear skies to all,
aj

Same here - I'm heading out to the Antennas site in a little bit.

Chris, I'm also going to head out to Antennas. I suspect that Cherry
will be cloudier and more humid. It cools off fast at Antennas so the
heat isn't a big deal to me. See you later.

Anyone else heading out. I'm leaving from the Surprise area around 5pm.
After talking to Joe Goss last weekend at Cherry II, I think he'll be
out there but I was just curious if anyone else was going out.
