Or even a 70ish car. In my old truck I just ran an extension cord from the

It's part of this idiotic attitude of making things customers supposedly
want. How did this get started? I am sure much of the price of a new
car-truck is caused by a lot of this when I would be perfectly content with
a 1960ish technology car. I have driven one new car rental that I would
never want to own because of the inconveniences caused by all these
automatic things. Actually, I think all car manufacturers are owned by outer
space aliens who are intent of turning us into mindless creatures. With all
these automatic things we don't have to think for ourselves. Once we become
like cattle, like the Eloyians, then it is much easier to conquer and rule
the Earth!!

Speakin of car batteries, how come you have to turn the ignition on to get
the rear 12v outlets to work? I'm sure in their wisdom, the car designers
didn't want you running down the battery by leaving rear accessories on
overnight. But I WANT to leave rear accessories on overnight! I just don't
want all the instrument panel lights on. I need to rewire, but it's always
such a pain and might void some of the warranty.
