[sac-forum] Re: Telescope Donation

Thanks for the endorsement, Steve. An ATM meeting would be fun, but too late.
:-) The scope is already set up in the dome. Drift alignment is being
performed and the learning curve for the mount, scope and imaging stuff has
begun. Maybe a visit from the imaging sub-group would be good? :-) As well
as any curious onlookers from the club, of course. :-) So far, some really
crude images of Saturn and the Moon have already been acquired and they look
promising.

Now, where's that other manual? No, not that one, the OTHER one?Steve

Steve;

I am very happy to have this resolved and I think it is an excellent
resolution. I certainly look forward to making my way to Stone Haven and
enjoying the views through this telescope and the binocular chair. I have no
doubt that a 5” ED refractor will provide excellent views of Solar System
objects and brighter deep sky goodies from your site. There are certainly
plenty of accessories to keep you busy for years to come.

I think that the ATM group might wish to have a Saturday meeting or two at your
place to help with setting up the scope and getting it in an observatory.

Clear skies to us all;
Steve Coe
