The ad was generally well-received on Cloudynights. The ad agency
invited actual amateurs from the Antelope Valley Astronomy Club to

I love that the kids were asleep. That's the only incorrect element
of the ad - "real" kids would've been all over the place!
Makes me want to go out and buy a Sequoia. Nah, we have less than
10,000 miles to go before the '91 Nissan Pickup has a light-second
on the odometer.
My '74 Toyota Celica ST passed the light second rating in 1981. My
mom paid $2,285 (prior model year demo car) and I sold it for $2,195
in 1981. How's that for retaining its value? Unfortunately, I don't
think I could've gotten even a pair of binos and a tripod in its
trunk :).
