Now that the blast furnace of summer has warmed up, I'm rethinking my decision
to leave my rig set up all the time. I have a good cover - a Telegizmos 365
with thermal reflective barrier. However, with 118F heat I'm not sure it is a
good idea to leave the mount, camera, filter wheel, and OTA outside, even if it
is under such a good protective barrier. At the same time I realize the effect
is probably no different than a small observatory that has no A/C.
All of that said, has anyone run into any issues leaving your equipment in an
uncontrolled environment during the heat of summer?
Thoughts/comments/concerns/etc all welcome!
Thanks!
