Darrell,
Wow, we had 11/10 on everything.
Well, now for the truth. On the bright side (no pun), many good-natured optimistic people were there, at least 11 people in about 8 cars. The sky was clear before moonset and the temperature was great with low humidity. Some people looked at doubles, clusters, and Jupiter etc, and others just had a big party. I think a lot of deep sky observing got done, but after midnight scattered mid-level clouds were getting pretty bad. Then there were flashes like those from a camera. They turned out to be distant lightning in the SE. But, all in all, it seemed like everyone had a great time. Too bad you couldn't make it.

Folks, nagging obligations prevented me from joining folks up at Cherry
on Saturday night. Thought I'd inquire and enjoy by proxy.

So . . . after getting skunked all summer, how did it turn out?

If it was "great", "stellar", ink black, and you had 10/10 seeing, I'm
not sure I want to know. The story of my life.

Darrell
