Howdy all;
Well, I had an idea, yes, it does happen occasionally.
Seeing as how moonrise for Saturday night is 10:27 PM, that only leaves us 3
hours or so of dark time.
So, instead of lugging all those big telescopes out to Flatiron for the
evening, let's have a small scope and binocular night. I have two pairs of
binoculars, 8X42 and 15X70. I will also bring warm clothes, a table and a
folding chair. Oh yea, the Bright Star Atlas so I can know what I am
looking at. Maybe something to eat and drink.
I am NOT trying to talk anyone into bringing out any type of instrument they
wish to enjoy..don't go there. Just a thought, seeing as how we will have
only a short time to observe before the eastern sky gets even brighter. We
can point out our favorite binocular object and enjoy a short night of
observing.
See ya there;
Steve Coe
