I do remember Steve asking potential buyers to contact him directly, so 
let's leave it at this....

Anyone responding to an ad placed here, please kindly send 
inquiries/bids/etc, directly to the
person selling the item(s), not to the list.

Anyone selling an item who receives a response on the list should follow 
up privately with the
mark, er, buyer.

Having said that, I do see this as a beneficial idea for SAC members.
