Dan,
I am now leaving for Phoenix. It is not quite midday, but for what it's
worth, which may not be much since things can easily change by
nightfall, this is what I see up here now. Whereas the skies cleared up
very good Tues, Wed, and Thur night, last night was not so good, but
observing could still have been done. It is now thin cloudiness over the
whole sky and the transparency would not be good between the clouds were
this night. This is contrary to the type of clouds the previous days. It
seems to me that you could still get observing done tonight, but it
would not be a good night at all. Of course, it could all change
quickly, either way.

Dan,
I wish I could. I really do. However, tomorrow I will be in Phoenix.
Can you believe it, going into the heat of Phoenix? I committed myself
to attending another meeting there (about lepidoptera) at the Desert
Botonical Garden, and someone else is depending me on showing up. If
it were not for this other person I would cancel and stay up here.

Stan, are you willing and able to give us a weather report tomorrow
(Sat) around midday? Notwithstanding the CSC and the many weather sites
we check, they all are making large-scale forecasts with big computers
hundreds or thousands of miles away from Cherry. You probably can tell
us more just by looking out the window and maybe listening to your local
weather people tomorrow morning.
That would be most helpful and I for one certainly would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan

It is 11:30 pm Friday and I am quitting for the night. It is
completely clear from horizon to horizon except very low to the
south where Phx is and the desert.

I can't say what Saturday will be like, but last night up here (15
mi. w. Cherry site) was clear all night. Tonight looks like it will
be another good night. This is a far cry from Monday and Tuesday
and earlier. Earlier in the week the forecasts had been 40% rain
all week. Now it is back down to its usual 20% which I take as a
standard
cover their a__ factor in their forecasts.

OK, I'll start. Although right now it doesn't look promising

some
eyepiece time at Cherry Rd Saturday?
