Matt, does your reference give anything like last year measured?  The 
database lists 1875 as last year.  I wonder if the slight differences 
can be attributed to the observed dates.

Your reference to STTA is verddy, veddy interesting.  Actually my 
reference, Sky Catalog 2000.0 circa 1985, lists the O-sigma-sigma 
designation but doesn't have anything for the IDS code.  For the 
original catalog the designation O-sigma has the IDS code STT.  This 
could easily lead to this type of confusion - using the same code (STT) 
for two different catalogs - Pulkovo and its supplement .

What is the published date for the STF 2000.0 catalog?
