You guys sure know how to make a fellow feel humble and insignificant.

(Funny, that's exactly what observing does for me).

Oh well, I'll eventually get back to my H400 observing regimen. With
the skies we've had of late, it might just take a while. Like Jimmy
Ray, I'm about half way through, but with more than a few
"extracurricular" excursions - both local to the solar system (where
I've spent a lot of time) and elsewhere.

Sincere hats off to those who are light-years ahead in their observing
programs. I will say that the notion of going through Burnham's is
absolutely intriguing.

But, no matter what (Herschel, Burnham or Crayon), it'll be fun.

Here's hoping for good sky at 5MM in a couple of weeks.

Darrell

Joe, and you took a break and did doubles? Say it ain't so Joe? So,
what
you are saying is, that if we ignore my typo, it will take another 13
yrs
for 10000 objects. No doubt you will get to the 1000 galaxies in Virgo
-
way to go Joe!
