I agree, and since the insurance is our first line of defense in any
lawsuit, why are we doing this again, to protect them, or us.

Tom,

My guess is that the insurance company would do neither (lower premiums or
increase coverage). If anything increased it would most likely be their
profit margin on underwriting our policy.  ;-)

Is that not what the board is trying to do, "minimizing risk (and thereby
decreasing the likelihood of paying a claim.)"  If wavers are put into
place, would the insurance company reduce the cost to the club, or increase
the coverage, since we would be lowering there risk also?
