The SAC insurance policy has been mentioned as a partial protection for the club. I think it may be prudent to post more information about the policy.

Just what does the insurance insure against?
Personal injury, negligence.

Who is covered?
Members, guest, others?.

When is the policy in effect? At club events, at events attended by club members, travel to and from club sponsored events or just what?

How much monetary protection does the policy provide?

What are any restrictions, conditions for coverage?

How are claims submitted?
