Here is the announcement:
Please join us for the 39th Annual SAC Spring Public Star Party at
Thunderbird Conservation Park in Glendale AZ on Saturday, May 14, 2016. The
event will be sponsored by Glendale Parks and Recreation Department and
hosted by the Saguaro Astronomy Club. Members of the Club will have
telescopes large and small set up and available for public viewing from
6:30 pm to 9:30 pm (sunset 7:22 pm). They will show a variety of
astronomical objects during these hours, including the Moon, Planets,
Stars, Galaxies, and Deep Sky Wonders. Club volunteers will be on hand to
answer questions you may have about telescopes, observing the sky, and
astronomy in general. Weather permitting. The event is free. Please join us
for a night under the stars!
Directions: To get to Thunderbird Park in Glendale, take Loop 101 to 67th
Ave and go north 1 1/2 miles to Patrick Lane (just past Mountain Ridge High
School). Turn right at the entrance to the park at the stoplight at Patrick
Lane. Follow the signs and proceed to the parking lot at the observing
