Of course Jeff can speak for himself but I think part of it is that we haven't received that much information until recently.

Stan: this statement just is not true. There has been a discussion about this dinner at pretty much every meeting this year, with lots of questions asked and lots of answers given by the guy holding the gavel. I even joked with Rick after the most recent meeting that we have become a dinner club, not an astronomy club.

With an event like this, it is impossible for anyone to make everyone happy -- some want dinner at 5, some want dinner at 5:15, some want dinner at 5:30. Etc. The point is, Rick and the other few leaders who have helped him have arranged what looks to be a very nice event for all of us to attend. I am sure they welcome constructive criticism, but inaccurate complaints like this are just not helpful to any part of this process or to the club.

After the event, I guess we can take a vote on whether Rick's pay should be cut in half, from zero to half of zero.

Best regards,

Steve
