[sac-forum] Re: SAC 30 Year Anniversary Banquet

I think Abraham Lincoln was the author of the quote, and boy, would he know
that given HIS times and trials!

I won't be able to make it to the banquet (we just bought a new home and are
moving, etc.), but I do want to thank Rick, Jennifer, and anyone else who
stepped forward to put this together. It's a thankless job leading a group
of volunteers. In a democracy, critics are a dime a dozen. Worker bees,
though, are a rare breed, and I am grateful we have some pretty good ones
here to pitch in and help out.

Steve, thank you so much for the kind remarks about the upcoming banquet.
No doubt Rick and Jennifer have put an untold amount of work into this and
their efforts are appreciated by everyone - even those not responding to
this thread.

This reminds me of a famous quote whose author I don't remember. The quote
is, "you can't please all of the people all of the time, you can only please

some of the people some of the time."

Clear skies and looking forward to a GREAT banquet,
aj
