I checked this URL:
http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/forecast/MapClick.php?site=fgz&smap=1&textField1=35.
19806&textField2=-111.65056&FcstType=graphical
It is an hourly weather graph for the Flagstaff area (the closest major
graphing site I can find near Cherry). You can set it up for the 48-hour
window you want to examine and check which boxes you want to see-- for
instance, SKY COVER. When I did this, Saturday night shows about 51% sky
cover-- this could be in the form of clouds, or heavy haze, but it looks
more and more like Steve needs to do his dance, and maybe if it were
televised, it might work even better. Ahem.

Subject: [sac-forum] Perseids
This morning, trying for a general triangulation in the Cherry Rd. area,
I am getting scattered thunderstorms (30%) for Saturday and Sunday
nights in Prescott, Prescott Valley and Flagstaff area. As peak shower
period is late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, this doesn't
sound so good.
Does anyone have differing information (better/worse?)? Alternate sites
that might offer a better opportunity sans a really sweltering place for
viewing the event?
(Personal Note: Steve, I need you out there shaking your buff booty no
later than 8:30 p.m. tonight and continuing pretty much non-stop through
Friday night at the very least. Runes are also suggesting the rubbing
of bat guano into your hair before beginning to enhance the overall
effectiveness.)
Thanks, Janis
