Re:
Subject: [sac-announce] Re: Next Club Meeting: February 6th:
The speaker is Dr. Paul Knauth. He is a professor of Geology at ASU, and an
extraordinary observer with an extraordinary telescope. Many of you already
know these things and how knowledgeable and interesting of a speaker is.
The subject is yet to be determined but it will be on topic I promise. I
can also personally guarantee that this will be one of the grandest talks
you'll ever attend.

All,
Looking at the latest results from Opportunity announced today, see
http://marsrovers.jpl.nasa.gov/newsroom/pressreleases/20040302a.html
it appears it closely matches what Dr. Knauth was predicting!
He said during his talk to SAC that salts were involved with the
formations of the rocks on Mars.
Comments, anybody???
