[sac-forum] Re: On Binoculars and Mounts

I have an email in to the Kansas City group on this too. One of their
members is a retired mechanical engineer who designed a bino mount and sold
them a few years ago. He quit making them, but I am asking him if he has
drawings or photos he can supply to us. It was as smooth as silk and
lightweight to boot!

Paul,
Send me the pictures and I can turn them into CAD drawings.

Darrell,

We never got around to discussing the binocular mount because everyone was
deeply involved in their own project at the time. As a starting point we
looked at Beevo's mount, which he has since sold on EBay. There are no
mechanical drawings for it, but he posted some good pictures on EBay. I
don't remember the listing number but it's still there. I have a couple
these pix and will send them to you this afternoon. Gotta go now.
