[sac-forum] On Binoculars and Mounts

Sure is great to hear the reports from the Antenna site.  Sorry I missed
it.

 

Well, I've lately acquired a couple more binoculars and find myself
badly in need of a better mount.  The tripod will be easy, but I'm
wondering whether to go parallelogram or straight up.

 

Anyway, wasn't the group meeting at Paul Lind's house fabricating such a
device (or am I mistaken)?  If so, are you guys working from a set of
plans that has been published or is available electronically?   I'd be
very interested in seeing what's involved.

 

By the way, I can see what all the fuss is about when going to 15x70s.
Easy to go from living room to observing and with great backyard views!
