[sac-forum] Re: Observing lists

Dan, thanks for catching my typo. It turns out the observing list for January
lists NGC1512 and is the object in error. The correct number should be
NGC1513. Dan, succinctly, points out the differences.

Hope this doesn't cause any confusion.

AJ, you've probably already heard this but just in case..For the January
Trumpler exercise (which sounds very interesting) NGC 1512 is a galaxy in
Horologium. I believe you meant NGC 1513.

Dan, I hope your scope isn't AWOL! There are times when confusion arises in
my mind over which month and which constellation to select, which is why I try
to include the month for each constellation. Your descriptions for the X's and
months are correct. For example the constellations for December and January
are Pisces Austrinus and Trumpler Classification system. This last time
doesn't follow the constellation pattern but I believe it is a good observing
list and should help us (me included) to understand the Trumpler codeing (sic)
system.

Let me know if you need more or if I can help.

    Hi, AJ,

After being AWOL for months I'm hoping to finally get out to Antennas at
the end of November. Am I correct in assuming that I should be working on the
December (and if possible January) observing lists at that point? In general, I
assume that when you publish a list for month X, I should work on that list
(and send you my observations) during month X - 1. I apologize for not
remembering the pattern, but I've gotten a bit rusty. Hope my scope hasn't.

    Thanks and regards,

    Dan
