Thanks Steve for taking the clouds with you when you left. By 10:30 it was
mostly clear and fairly transparent. Lynn and I split doubles and looked
for red stars from 11:30 till almost 01:00. Chris had a good night looking
at some bright galaxies. And the comet was over head about 12:30 in clear
sky.

Howdy all;

Well, yet again, it was clear in the afternoon and then clouded over once
the Sun went down. I have grown very tired of this scenario. We had 11
vehicles and folks hoping for some good viewing and it never materialized.
A few stayed behind, but most of us gave up about 9:00 PM as a big cloud
bank made its way over the western horizon. We did get a short peek at
Comet Holmes. It is still bright, pretty large and round with an off-center
central core. What an amazing object.

Oh well, here's hoping that the last Sentinel Star Party for next weekend
will do better.

See you there;

Steve Coe
