Hello Dave,

Welcome to the club. I'm not too far from you (west Phoenix).

It sounds like a polar alignment problem. Whil periodic errors can 
cause drift in RA, there is no movement id Dec so really it has to be 
a polar alignment problem. It could also be a balance problem.

cannot give you a direct link. At the frame to the left click the
