[sac-forum] Re: Mercury Transit

While it's not a SAC event, there is a Mercury Transit event scheduled for the new observatory in Gilbert. In addition to the facility's telescope, various people (SAC and EVAC members) will have equipment on site.
Since this is a public event, everyone is welcome. I believe there will be an announcement in the local newspapers - they have been invited to attend.
General observatory information is available here: http://rotaryobs.org

Is the club planning anything for the Mercury Transit on Wednesday, 8 November 2006?

The next one is not until 2016. We are lucky in Arizona as nowhere in Europe or Asia can you see this and most of the rest of the east portion of the USA only gets to see part of it.
