Was unable to make last SAC meeting. If the "official" star party is
still 11 Feb., what site was chosen for it?
Thanks, Janis

Howdy SAC;
Well, it was great to have a room full of folks. That is as packed at I
have seen that room in many years. That is the reason I mentioned there
will be a future (May) Novice Group Meeting.
Also great to see Jerry Maurer and Gerry Rattley at a meeting. Wow, are we
getting older.
We certainly had an interesting cross section of show and tell, how many
other astronomy clubs in the world had a meeting with two presentations
about binocular chairs??
All the flyers with the maps on them were gone when I looked, so hopefully
we will have some feedback from people trying out the two sites over the
next couple of months. The good news is that we don't need a replacement
for Flatiron right away and by May we will be back up at Cherry Rd. So,
maybe by October we can come to a consensus about what we wish to do.
I see three choices, keep Flatiron for as long as possible, move to one of
the two sites just discovered (Dirt Blvd or Saddle Mt.) or keep looking for
a better site in that part of the state. We can decide once we have some
more information.
It sure is fun to be a SAC member;
