[sac-forum] Re: July 28 from Cave Creek

In defense of myself :)) Either the Dob gets collimated this afternoon or it
waits until Friday, but by then the scope of choice will be the 8" because I'd
like for it to get some visibility as it will be put up for sale. Now could I
just collimate the Dob and not use it? What would that do to the weather
gods?? Can't confuse them else we get foul weather - perhaps some foul
language?

Also you really need to be aware of putting something in a bank now-a-days.
Unless it is insured by FDIC. Hummm, OK let's try to put all the clouds in a
bank. :))

Well, Tim, it's not the assembly that has me worried-it's the collimation,
and he should do a final adjustment with starlight. Even a few seconds of AJ
grabbing stellar photons could throw all of the Southwestern US into a cloud
bank.

Uh, AJ, would you mind holding off on your reassembly and collimation until
the weekend? We have another great forecast for tonight and I'd hate for your
tinkering to rain on our photon parade.. (Snicker)

You're safe so long as AJ only gets the scope ready and doesn't try to do any
viewing... Oh, and he must have the process completed before astronomical
twilight.
