Julian is a beautiful mountain town E of San Diego and west of the Anza-Borrego 
Desert and Imperial Sand Dunes area. Sounds like a great place for a star 
party!!!  Drop down from I-10 at Blythe and follow State Rte 78 south 
(temporarily 86 at the Salton Sea) thru the white sand dunes and desert to 
Julian up in the mountains. The most direct route and a beautiful drive if done 
in pleasant weather.
