Last time we had them show up at sunset or so and some of the scopers got
kinda nervous, thinking nobody was coming. I had to keep reassuring them to
just be patient. By having it start before sunset, by the time they park and
take the shuttle to the field, they can mill around and look at the scopes and
talk to the folks and at least see the Moon and Saturn. Moon will be waxing
crescent, 35% illum. I asked Ranger if we could make it 7 PM because that's a
round number and easier to remember. I was a little uncomfortable with the odd
time, so she needs to think about it. I will ask again tomorrow and keep
asking on that one.

Jack;
Why would we want people to show up at 6:45 when sunset is 7:18?
I am confused again;

Yay! Astronomy Day! (except make that 6:45 PM to 9:30 PM and you'll have
it.)

Howdy all;
Below is the flyer for Astronomy Day for this year. I thought it would be
in April, so I made it up early. I will bring a few to the meeting for
handout.
See ya;
