[sac-forum] [Fwd: History Channel Special]

Friends and fans of Andre Bormanis, take note. Andre -- for those who may have forgotten (or those who have never met him), grew up here in Phoenix, joined SAC, majored in Physics at the U. of AZ, went off to the Space Telescope Science Institute for a few years, then changed professions, moved to Hollywood, and became the Science Advisor to the three Star Trek TV series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager. (That HAS to be every science geek's dream job!!) He has since graduated to writing screen plays and producing sci-fi TV shows, and also appearing on screen occasionally. Perhaps we can at least partly credit his membership in SAC as a budding influence.....

Friends, Romans, Science Geeks --

I was interviewed for a History Channel special that airs this coming Sunday, 9pm here in L.A. -- check your local listings. It's called Star Trek Tech, one of two shows they filmed to celebrate the 40+ year history of Star Trek. Hopefully I don't look or sound too ridiculous, but chances are I made a gaffe or two you can taunt me with for years to come. Worth watching for that reason alone.

Live long in phosphor (or something like that).

Andre
