Messier Marathon 2008Steve James from Oregon is looking for a camping or
viewing site for a trailer for the AAMM and would like something close by as he
describes below. Anyone have any ideas that can be passed on to Steve?
Clear skies,
aj

AJ,
I am hoping to be able to come to the All Arizona Messier Marathon again this
year. I would like to get in a couple of extra days of observing in for the
2800+ miles it takes for the round trip. Is it permissible to arrive on
Wednesday or Thursday without wearing out our welcome with Mr. Farnsworth?
Alternatively, do you have any recommendations for a trailer-camping viewing
site, state park, commercial RV park, etc., that you'd recommend away from the
Phoenix and other major metropolitan light bubbles? If I have cell-phone and
internet access, I may stay up to 3 weeks total time away from home. I need to
work at least a few days in the middle of my trip, to economize on vacation
days used.
I hope to get to meet you in person this time! ( you were called away when we
were there in 2006).
Thanks and clear skies,
Steve Jaynes
