Steve, yes the official star party is at Cherry Rd on Saturday night. I
will return Saturday night when the moon rises or threatens to rise.
Hopefully the wind will have died down by Saturday.
As for my plans I want to do both Friday and Saturday nights and both
seem to hinge on the windy conditions.
Clear skies and look forward to seeing you and all others Saturday,
aj

Is the star party still on for Cherry Road on Saturday night? I can't
make Friday but was planning on Saturday.

I've been looking at weather, and ignoring the fires, to see if it
is worthwhile to plan a Friday night observing run to Cherry Rd II
and so far it is looking towards our favor. Sunset is around 7:50
and twilight after 9:00 - according to my guess. Moon rise is
around midnight. All told gives us about 3 hours of observing.
Anyone interested in a quick trip - providing the weather holds out.
Clear skies,
aj
