Darrell, Yes, it is just the tip of the iceberg! Several people have built their own observatories as well as the other things I mentioned.

Leon and I have been life long cosmology students, but are relatively new to "hardware" astronomy (read: telescopes). I'm still at the stage when I look through the telescope, my jaw drops open and I usually have to wipe the drool off the eyepiece before I can continue because there is still so much wonder to it all for me.

May you have many starry nights with this club if you choose it for your seeing companions. IMHO of course, there couldn't be a better place to be.

Hi Janis,

Thanks for the help and the "who's who and who does what" club rundown. (Although I'm sure it's only the tip of the iceberg).

I have already subscribed to the Arizona Observing forum, as well. I joined at the same time I joined the SAC forum -- earlier this week.

Thanks again! I really appreciate the information and tips. I look forward to seeing some of you folks at upcoming events.

Respectfully,

Darrell
