Everyone:
As a preliminary search tool use the Maricopa County Interactive Map
website at 
http://www.maricopa.gov/Assessor/GIS/map.html  

It requires a downloaded plugin for the mapping software.  There is
complete county wide photo coverage at quite a high resolution to look
at areas.  I would use Google Earth for wide area views, since the
County site does not show photos after zooming out past about 4 square
miles.

With the parcel layer turned on, you can check ownership of the land
also.
