Andrew, not sure I have a mind in the first place, so you may be correct :) But that is a different story. Reason for the 8" SCT? I wanted something easier to setup for backyard observing, public star parties and for less than excellent observing sessions. In short I will be a two telescope owner. The 14.5" DOB will make the normal out of town star parties given good observing conditions.
