All,
When I researched the internet for secondary size for my Schwaar 10" f 5.8,
I found an amateur telescope site that recommended 16-20% of the main mirror
diameter.
I wanted to compromise between visual and photographic, so I went with 18%
of the diameter. I plugged the numbers into the "Newt" software and it said
that everything looked good.

PS: Great idea for the platform, Matt, with a step to get on to it! I
remember Steve Coe used to have one for his 17" and 18" dobs, it was
carpeted too.
