[sac-forum] Re: Diagonal Size

Derek Poertner (the T-shirt guy) is currently going thru the painful
throes of beginning ATM. Like where to cut the hole and what diagonal to
go with. (He recently found out all store-bought 7" tubes are not all
the same diameter - he's building an f/8 6" so the SAC tubes are too
short.)

I have 4 telescopes in work, 2 down and 2 to go. I've had time to bring
the junk Club 6" up to a state of workable and aesthetic excellence
(i.e, it can now be lived with, and looked at without wincing) and to
build a spiffy small 4" Dobsonian. My 6" Schwaar-kit is still in work of
course and is almost 5 years old without 1st light. That's my next
endeavor and then I'll build my 3" Quaker Oats box telescope.
