[sac-forum] Re: Dec 1, 2007 Star Party Location?

YES, I am back. All it took was another computer. Actually found that Data
Dr. will build one with XP.no Vista. I am thrilled.

Directions to star party for Saturday:

I-10 west to Wintersburg Road and then about 10 miles south to the "T" at
Elliot Road, turn right (west) onto Elliot. Be careful of the dip and
cattle guard. After a few miles traveling on the blacktop, the road turns
sharply right and becomes a dirt road. Keep going straight, do not make
that sharp right turn, and be careful of two dips in the road. As you come
out of the second dip there is a 45 degree turn to the right. So you turn
away from the line of power poles onto a smooth dirt road. This happens
about 0.3 miles from the pavement. Continue on this road for 0.6 miles and
there is an opening in the birm on the left that I marked with rocks. It
has room for lots of observers.

Hope to see you there, if it is not raining;

Steve Coe

It's gonna be in the Saddle Mountain area. Looks like Steve Coe found a spot
near the original candidate that doesn't have the headlight problem of the
original. I'll let Steve chime in with directions, Although you can get a
preview from his message posted 18 Nov at 0053.

Was the December Club Star Party to be at Saddle Mountain or is it still
undecided? Nov NL says 'TBA' and Dec NL says 'Dec 120th' (?), but for 2008.
