[sac-forum] Re: Date and place for Heck with the Monsoons star party

Hello Jack,

Yes indeedy, if the Forest Service wants to be nasty they can fine you up to $5,000 and/or 6 months in jail for trespassing on National Forest Land without a permit. A hunting licence is considered one type of permit. This means if you are caught on National Forest land you can be arrested.

Funny, who does that land really belong to? I believe driving on a posted closed road would involve the same penalties.

Jeff

There is what could pass for a "road" along the northern edge of the Cherry II area. I wonder if there is a penalty or fine for breaching an NFS Road Closed sign or it was put there as a CYA for them?
