The World Atlas of Arificial Night Sky Brightness is here:
http://www.lightpollution.it/worldatlas/pages/fig1.htm
From there, you can find the map of North America, and unzip the 2 Mb file (to
130 Mb!). It is a very high-resolution file when you're done.
Or, for regional coverage, you can go to the Clear Sky Clock site at
http://cleardarksky.com/csk/ and click on the light pollution map link for the
area in which you are interested.
