Chris, after the e-mail discussion over the HII award the following is the procedure. Joe, and another SAC member observing the HII list, will receive the standard SAC telescope plate with the HII label and an astronomy book of their choice.
Joe and I have just finalized the award and it is scheduled for presentation at the January meeting.

Back in late Sept '08 AJ, via [sac-board], was soliciting suggestions to
figure out what SAC should do to "reward" those who completed, or planned to 
complete, the H400-II.
Nothing was finalized.  Notably, it was agreed that SAC has some wonderful
observing programs (110 Beyond NGC, H400 and 1000 New) of its own and they
should remain available to SAC members.
Has the club done anything to reward Joe Goss for his H400-II
accomplishment, or are records still under review?

Thanks, I realize that from the discussion, except my question was:
would I get the Herschel II award and pin like I got the Herschel award
and did the club have to pay for that privilege.  AJ?

For my Herschel 400 award, I received both the numbered Certificate and
a lapel pin from the AL. I wonder if that is the case for the Herschel
II and if we had to pay a fee with submittal.
